April 30th, 2018 Yakima River Fishing Report

With the last few days being a bit cooler, the river has dropped and is in great shape! There’s a little bit of color so dry fly fishing hasn’t been great, but our guides have been finding big fish on nymphs and streamers. We’ve been seeing salmon flies and caddis, but march browns are still the main hatch throughout the river.

Flies: Bead head pheasant tails (size 16-10), black/orange pat’s stone (up to size 4), San Juan Worms, Sculpins, and a variety of dry flies to imitate any of the bugs that are currently hatching.
