The fishing has been awesome lately! Although the afternoons tend to slow down a bit with this warm weather, the morning and evenings have been great for dry fly action! Hopper Dave’s, Clod Hoppers, and Charlie Boy Hoppers have all been producing fish, along with the usual Chubby Chernobyl’s and Gypsy Kings.
In the middle of the day when things slow down a bit, you’re best off just nymphing or throwing streamers. For nymphs, a pat’s stone with a pheasant tail dropper has been producing as usual. For streamers, throw white zonkers and sparkle minnows. Really just anything with a bit of flash, just make sure you’re getting it down to the fish with a sink tip.
PLEASE NOTE: Both the Ellensburg and Cle Elum shops will be closed on Monday July 16th and Tuesday the 17th. Feel free to leave us a message, and we will get back to you on Wednesday. Sorry for any inconvenience.
