June 1st, 2019 – Weekend Fishing Forecast

This weekend has tons of opportunities to go get some fish! Sadly it looks like the Teanaway has had some sort of landslide, so below the Teanaway is looking like chocolate milk, but the Upper Yak is still looking great and fishing well.

For the Yak, stoneflies are out in full force and fish are eating them on top. It’s that time of year to get stocked up in Chubbies, Glommers, Stimulators and PMX’s. Anywhere from a size 12 to a 6 will work, they aren’t picky.

We’re also seeing lot’s of PMD’s out and fish are keying in on them on the surface. We have a wide variety of PMD dries in the shop, so come check em out!

Streamers have also been great the last few weeks! It’s finally time to throw some of those bigger Lil’ Kim’s and Sculpzilla’s. Some sort of sink tip to get them down will always help you out.

The Teanaway and Upper Cle Elum are also open as well! These are great places to hike and explore, as well as catch a few fish. For these little rivers, any smaller attractors will work. We have a great selection of bugs for up there already put together for you in the shop!

Cooper lake is also accessible and fishing well! Trolling or stripping around woolly buggers is hard to beat up there. Just remember that its pretty impossible to cast from the shore, but is great for kayaks and other small boats, just no motors allowed.

As usual if you have any questions feel free to call the shop!
